Clean Makeup Favorites

It is tough to find makeup with clean ingredients and that have quality nutrients for your skin. We’ve tried so many over the years and have found the best of the best in each category.

Concealer

Milk Makeup Flex Concealer – Love how lightweight this one is. It can also be layered for more full coverage. It is super moisturizing!

It includes: Marshmallow Root Extract which helps formula move with your face, no creasing or caking; Blue Lotus to help hydrate skin; and Chamomile to help calm skin.

Find it here for $38.

RMS Beauty “Uncover” Cover Up Concealer This one is more of a balm and great for those “no-makeup makeup” days.

It includes: Coconut Oil that is extracted from fresh coconuts without the use of heat or chemicals, this coconut oil moisturizes, softens, and soothes the skin and Jojoba Oil which is rich in antioxidants, jojoba quickly absorbs into the skin to nourish and hydrate.

Find it here for $31.

Bronzer & Blush

Wander Beauty Trip For Two Blush & Bronzer Duo – I love the idea of having less compacts in my makeup bag, and the combo of these two colors is perfect. I like the Bellini/ Costa Rei set. The blush is perfectly peachy with a slight gold glow, and the bronzer isn’t too dark or muddy, or orange.

It includes: Mango Seed Butter which is rich in vitamin C to help soothe and brighten skin; Sea Buckthorn Oil to help calm redness and add moisture to skin; and Lotus Flower Extract which helps hydrate and improve the look of dry, flaky skin.

Find it here for $36.

Powder

Ilia Soft Focus Finishing Powder – This translucent powder is great for setting makeup to avoid creases and have it last all day long.

It includes: Aloe which keeps skin feeling soft and supple; Bamboo to help balance oil and leave skin’s surface shine-free; and Rosemary Leaf to soothe irritation.

Find it here for $34.

Foundation

Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 Foundation – This stuff is the best for a natural look, while being still packed full of nutrients.

It includes: Plant-based Squalane which hydrates and visibly improves elasticity without clogging pores; Niacinamide which visibly smooths texture, minimizes the appearance of pores, softens lines, and promotes even tone; and Hyaluronic Acids which penetrates at different levels to visibly plump and boost skin’s moisture levels.

Find it here for $48.

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer – Great for a days when you don’t want a full face of makeup but need a little coverage.

It includes: Hyaluronic Acid which helps replenish and boost skin’s moisture; Olive-Derived Squalane which quenches dry skin with all-day hydration that feels light and refreshing; and Mineral-Based Sunscreen which protects from damaging UVA and UVB rays.

Find it here for $22.

W3llpeople Tinted Moisturizer – Absolutely love this stuff. You can layer for more full coverage, or it can still be wearable for a natural look.

It has SPF 30 broad spectrum protection with pure zinc, advanced Bio-Peptide Complex to boost collagen, premium natural pigments to correct imperfections, is EWG verified for non-toxic health + safety, and is hypoallergenic, chemical-free, & cruelty-free.

Find it here for $30.

Eyes

Bare Minerals – Strength & Length Serum Infused Mascara – This is stuff has lash serum in it so it is helping to grow and strengthen lashes, but the wand is also applying mascara for super lengthy, separated lashes.

It includes:  Red Clover Peptide Serum which provides powerful strengthening benefits for healthier-looking lashes.

Find it here for $22.

Ilia Clean Line Gel Eyeliner – This stuff is super creamy. I prefer the brown shade for a more natural look.

This product is also vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free, and comes in recyclable packaging. Free of carbon black and cyclomethicone, this water-resistant formula smoothly slicks on saturated color.

Find it here for $26.

Highlighter

RMS Beauty Living Luminizer – Great for really natural looks. I like the balm type highlighters for a more natural glow vs. the powders. Favorite shade is the “natural” because its more goldy.

It includes: Coconut Oil to help soften and soothe the skin; Vitamin E to protect skin and provide ultra-moisture to soften and soothe; and Castor Seed Oil which acts as a great source of hydration and helps soothe the skin.

Find a mini palette of 4 colors here for $25.

Sunscreen

Supergoop Glow Screen – A perfect base for any makeup. Not greasy, adds a perfect sheer glow, and keeps your skin protected all day long.

It includes: Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin B5 which helps boost moisture in the skin, leaving it feeling soft and nurtured; Sea Lavender which helps provide powerful antioxidant protection while also supporting long-lasting hydration and Cocoa Peptides which help protect the skin from blue-light damage.

Find it here for $36.

Top 2020 Wellness Items We Love

Our favorite items we could not live without in 2020. Follow along on the @365ThingsWellness Instagram for more content like this daily.

Silk Sleep Mask

Literally blocks out all light and helps to stay asleep all night, and is just super soft & cozy? Find it here for $10.

Migrasil Essential Oils Roll-On Stick

I use this all day every day. great before bed for relaxation, great for during the day to combat migraines related to blue light, hangovers, headaches in general, etc. Find it here for $12.

Silk Pillowcase

So good for hair & skin. Supposedly silk pillowcases absorb less of the moisture and dirt and thus may be a better choice for people with acne, and can also help with wrinkles. Find it here for $23.

DW Candles

An all around favorite. Can find these candles on their website where there are always sales, or at Home goods, TJMaxx or Marshalls for cheap. Get a large one that burns foreverrrrr for like $11. They’re the kind that fill up a room even when they’re not burning. Fresh cut gardenia is hands down a favorite (and I’m not into florals), its just so so fresh.

Urban Outfitters Tops

Crop top & Henley top – Crop when its hot, Henley when its not. I literally have both of these in multiple colors. Ribbed Crop is perfect for summer days on the patio, picnics at zilker, as a swimsuit cover up top, or layered under a flannel or cardigan in the fall. The Emmy Henley is great with a pair of leggings or joggers when working at home, lounging during the day, wine nights on the couch with girlfriends. They are both so cozy, so affordable and Urban constantly has sales for them. Typically can find both for around $20 each.

Henley Top

CRZ Joggers

Literally, how did I live without joggers. Love a good pair of Colorful Koala & Lulu Leggings BUT, joggers are less constricting and leaves more room for activities. The material on the CRZ joggers feels just like Lulu and comes in a variety of colors. I like that they cinch at the ankle, tie at the waist but don’t cut you off so much, and still leave you very comfy but also slimming. Pretty much the best of everything. Find them here for $28.

Tula Eye Balm

I literally do not wear makeup ever anymore. This stuff is like a cooling, pearly, eye balm that could be a no-makeup dupe for concealer. its also just super cooling & helps with puffiness. Get it here for $30. Lasted for a year.

Milk Frother

If I have to make coffee every morning, it better be frothy and cute af, like a real barista. The milk frother is something i can no longer live without. Get it here for $39.

Nespresso

Ok, same thing here, these pods just automatically give you froth AND you can make espresso shots (& tinis?) with it. Find it here. Obsessed with the White one.

Dyson Vacuum

How the f did I live so long with a shitty vacuum? Just pushing dirt around the floor with nothing being sucked up. I want that wasted time of my life back! The dyson literally sucks up every ounce of dirt and swivel head gets it into every place & it has attachments which I love for dog hair on couches. Find it here.

Candle Warmer

I legit have these all over the house. It’s $10 on amazon and when your candle is down to the end I just move the old one to the candle warmer to let subtle scents flow through the house. This baby is also amazing for setting coffee or tea cups on it to keep them warm. Find it here for $10.

Schott Zweisel Wine Glasses

Y’all. These glasses are bougie af and I love it. These are the really thin beautiful ones at June’s on soco. They come in all shapes and sizes and are the perfect wine drinking vessel. Find a 4 pack here for $47. We love this specific pack because they have the square base and it gives us Lily VanDerWoodsen Bass Humphrey Bass vibes.

Yeti Wine Tumbler

This was a back patio staple over the summer. No one likes hot wine. No one likes watered down room temp skinny margs. Get yourself a cute af yeti tumbler and keep your drink icy cold. Also, we tried the off brand ones and they legit don’t work, and are hardly even cheaper. Stick with yeti so you know it will work. Find it here for $20.

Skinceuticals Glycolic Serum

Literally life changing. have used retinol for years, used this ONE night and the next day skin was perfectly smooth (like as if you dermaplaned the night before), texture issues were much less, and helps with discoloration. Find it here for $80.

Sonya Dakar Eye Balm

The only eye cream we’ve ever used that’s worked. It’s more of a balm, super hydrating but not oily, helps with puffiness & dark circles with the green tea + cbd. Find it here.

Laneige Lip Mask

Will find its way to every top list for obvious reasons. Amazing for day or night. Find it here for $16.

Vegamour Eyelash Serum

This vegan brand has worked wonders on both volume and length. They have two different ones – the volumizing serum and then our favorite, the GRO+Advanced Lash Serum. Find it here for $80.

Eucalyptus Shower Spray

The easiest way to get a spa-like experience in your own bathroom. Spray in the shower while you’re in it to open up sinuses, spray in the bath for a vibe. Spray in your room before bed when you’ve got allergies. Give it as a gift – we love this as a housewarming gift. Options are truly endless. Find it here for $13.

Mask Chain

No one wants to be setting their mask down on some nasty a** tables or counters, or shoving into your purse that’s probably full of germs. A mask chain is a super chic way to look cute af and be clean af. Mask but make it a fashion statement, ok? Sunglass chains for 2019, Mask chains for 2020. (But also you can reuse the mask chains for sunglass chains #2021) Find a 2 pack here for $11.

Slippers

I’m not going to walk around my house all day long and not be cozy af. These slippers are so so soft, and come in a ton of colors. The cream tends to match with most outties. Specifically, I really like this brand because of the thick base. A lot of slippers you get have a really thin base and they just fall apart. Have had these for over a year and they’ve held up splendidly. Find them here for $22.

Sleep Remedies

Getting back in the swing of things after the holidays is always rough. Here are a few of our favorite things to help with sleep & getting back on track. ⁣⁣

Nighttime Tea

Chamomile, valerian root & lavender are common ingredients to look for in sleepy time teas. you can find sleepy teas at any grocery store or online.

Soothing Caramel Bedtime Tea – Find it for $4 here.

Honey Lavender Stress Relief Tea – Find it for $7 here.

⁣Valerian Root Tea – Find it for $5 here.

Melatonin

This isn’t something we take all the time but after a day of too much caffeine, drinking alcohol or even an early morning alarm this typically helps. It is a natural vitamin instead of a harsh over the counter sleep med that has poor side effects. Find our favorite here for $10.

Lavender Pillow Spray

Sets the mood to drift off into a perfect nights rest. Lavender is believed to be useful for treating anxiety, insomnia, depression & restlessness⁣. Find it here for $7.

Red Light on Your Phone

It’s no secret that blue light on phones & TVs before bed makes it harder to fall asleep. ⁣⁣

PRO TIP: turn the red light setting on your phone to block the blue light screen in the hours leading up to bed. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣Go to > settings > accessibility > accessibility shortcut > color filters.

THEN ⁣⁣go to > settings > accessibility > display & text size > color filters > color tint > change to red hue and select your intensity.

THEN triple click the right side button and BAM red screen, easily turn on & off by triple clicking the right side button.⁣

Set The Mood

Sound machines, fans for proper temp, salt lamps, diffuser with lavender oils, and a silk sleeping mask.

Favorite Sound Machine – Find it here for $30.

Himalayan Salt Lamp – Find it here for $35.

Diffuser – Find it here for $15.

Essential Oils – Find a start kit for $15.

Silk Sleeping Mask – Dupe for the Silk Sleeping Mask – Find it here for $10.

Night Time Routine

Wash your face, skincare, brush teeth, etc. is always going to help you be more relaxed. Check out our PM skincare routine post too!⁣

Meditate

We love the headspace app or the calm app. Can even find ones that are 2-3 minutes⁣.

Read a Book

Studies found reading for 30 minutes was associated w/ lower blood pressure & heart rate. Reading for as few as 6 min before bed reduced stress by 68%⁣.

Silk Pillowcase

Helps w/ hair, skin & wrinkles. We like having a few in the closet so you can flip it over each night & change it every few days w/o having to do laundry. Find ours here for $20.

Self Tanners We Can’t Live Without

It is self-tanner season! Here is a list of our favorites – what are yours?!

Tan Luxe Tan Butter

Love this one for winter time. It is a gradual self tanner, smells like roses, literally no self tanner smell at all, after using 3 days in a row it was about the equivalent to a one time use of regular self tanner. Love that you can control the level of darkness you want. Find it here for $30.

Tan Luxe Tan Drops

Also love this for gradual face tanner. Have several friends that actually just mix a drop of the tan drops into their lotion for a DIY gradual tan lotion for body. These also don’t have a smell to them so makes it easy and less of a hassle to do it. Find it here for $49.

Loving Tan 2 Hour Express

We have this one in dark, we use a tanning mit to put it on evenly, and after 2 hours you rinse off. It will still gradually get darker over the next 6-8 hours. This is one we use for events, vacations, something where we want to look super dark. It is a foam and comes out in more of a greenish color, so the overall color is very brown not orange. Find it here for $40.

St Tropez Foam

This is a tried and true favorite we always have on hand. Easy to pop on in the morning, and have a full tan by the end of the day. Or put on before bed, and wake up tan. This is also one that we don’t always shower off right at the end of 8 hours. The longer its on the more tan you’ll get. We don’t usually have issues with streaking, it is also more green in color when it comes out so it is a super brown color, no orange. Find it here for $44.

Loreal Tan Wipes

This is a great budget friendly option. great for travel, easy to apply in a moist towelette and they are individually wrapped. This does have a smell, but is super dark in color. Not full on orange but has more of an orange tint to it than the loving tan or St. Tropez. We usually always have a box of these on hand for easy application and travel. Find it here for $10.

Bondi Sands

Another budget friendly option that comes out in a foam. Slight smell but nothing overbearing. Comes out very brown and not orange. Find it here for $24.

Lymphatic Drainage

We talk a lot about how much we love lymphatic drainage. Below are the top questions we get & our answers! We are not a doctor or esthetician, this is just what we’ve learned from our own research & everyone should do what works best for them. ⁣

What is it?⁣

Manual lymphatic drainage is a type of massage that will encourage the natural drainage of hundreds of lymph nodes, which carries waste. When there’s any kind of obstruction in your lymphatic system, fluid can start to build up which causes puffiness & inflammation. ⁣

Benefits⁣

People incorporate facial lymphatic drainage into their beauty regimen helping with puffy, dull complexion & skin irritation. Some call it a nonsurgical facelift. Also improves the appearance of the skin by reducing fine lines, wrinkles & eye bags.⁣

ATX for Lymphatic Drainage Massage⁣

Brazilicious Beauty Spa – Right before our wedding we tried searching for places in Austin & couldn’t find many. We have been to several before discovering Brazilicious and this is by far our favorite. Traditional lymphatic drainage massages are very light and honestly, the first few we got we couldn’t tell any difference. Finally, we found out about the Brazilian technique & you leave feeling like you got a real massage, but also feel toned, literally zero inflammation or bloating at all. ⁣

How often?⁣

Results from a professional massage last about 48 hours but, we do at home lymphatic massage daily. ⁣

At Home Tips⁣

Every single day we dry brush before a shower. Start from the bottom of your legs and brush upward towards your heart. It gets your lymph system moving, boosts metabolism & detoxification, helps with energy, & is a great exfoliant!⁣ Get our dry brush here for $16.
We also use a gua sha stone on our face after putting on our oils & serums. Picture above shows how. ⁣Get our Gua Sha here for $11.

Side Effects⁣

If you’ve never done any form of lymphatic drainage, the first pro massage can make you feel a little icky bc your body is detoxifying. Once you start doing it more frequently that can subside. ⁣

Where do the toxins go? ⁣

When your lymphatic system is drained, it flushes out through your lymph nodes. Drink a ton of water to help clear any toxins out.

Favorite Lash Serums

These are all ones that we have tried, and that either we use and love, or friends use and have seen great results. All of these vary person to person, you really have to try a few out and see what works the best for you specifically. ⁣

Revitalash

This was actually the first brand we ever purchased when we started using lash growth serums. we’ve tried so many over the years and consistently go back to this one. ⁣Purchase here.

Grande Lash

Ok, so a friend of ours has been consistently using this and her lashes are super long, after she was getting lash extensions for several years she was left with short broken lashes. within 3 months they’ve grown super long with this stuff. we tried it ourselves and did notice a difference in length but it made our lash line itchy. haven’t heard that feedback from anyone else though so we might just be sensitive!⁣ Purchase here.

Vegamour Vegalash

This is a vegan brand and is supposed to be less harsh. started using this and saw results within a few weeks and didn’t experience any side effects or sensitivity. ⁣Purchase here.

Rodan & Fields

Have had so many friends rave about this stuff and saw huge results for them. once we are done with our current tube of revitalash, want to try this one again. it is extremely pricey though so we just keep putting off purchasing for ourselves!⁣

FAV QUARANTINE / WFH MAKEUP

After months of working at home, these are our tried-and-true favorites that we can’t live without.

Tula Rose Glow Eye Balm

Y’all this stuff is KEY. most days we wear zero makeup at all, we do our AM skincare routine, and then pop this balm under eyes. It’s super soothing & cooling, but has a pearly-ness to it that makes you look awake without wearing concealer.

Tula Rose Glow Eye Balm

Glossier Stretch Concealer

For days where you need to put a little something on, this is lightweight, super moisturizing, and can easily pop some under eyes with a finger. Find it on their website for $18.

Glossier Stretch Concealer

Bare Minerals Strength & Length Serum Mascara

If we’re putting frickin’ mascara on during quarantine, it better be doing something for our lashes. We like this stuff because its lightweight, not heavy or cakey, does a great job at separating and looking natural, but also has serum so its actually doing something for your lashes. Mascara but make it serum!!! Find it on amazon.

Bare Minerals Serum Mascara

W3llpeople Bronzer Stick

We just can’t get down with powdery stuff for quarantine makeup. everything needs to be an easy cream, liquid or stick. We love this brand because its clean, and this bronzer stick is so easy to pop into hollows of cheeks, around forehead and blend in quickly to bring warmth to your face. Find it on amazon.

W3llpeople Tinted Moisturizer

This is super, super lightweight and has a ton of serums and vitamins to where you basically just feel like you’re wearing moisturizer not full on foundation. It’s super sheer but great for days that you might need to look more put together for a presentation. Find it on amazon.

W3llPeople Tinted Moisturizer & Bronzer Stick

HOT TIP:

Redness relief eyedrops. We like the Lumify brand but there are some that are better for contacts. Bright white eyes also make a huge difference when you’re wearing no makeup/minimal makeup. Find on Amazon.

Just because we are social distancing, doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the greatest drink of all time (fighting words, we know—but standing by this)!

Chuy’s

Not only does Chuy’s have some of our favorite jalapeno ranch, queso, tortillas, and more; but their margarita kits are the glorious. They run from $30-40 which includes a 375ml bottle of your choice of tequila. You can also enjoy their $12 Super Grande Lime Rita that includes 20 oz. and two servings (frozen or rocks). Liquor stores closed on Sundays got you down? Chuy’s is also offering their $30 Bloody Mary Kit which includes a 375ml bottle of Tito’s.

Fajita, Taco, Enchilada, and Nacho Family Kits here.
View full to-go food menu here.

Order Here!

El Alma

While we are massively missing El Alma’s dreamy patio on a sunny day, viewing the downtown skyline and throwing back frozen drinks and salsa samplers—you can do your best to recreate this from home. Check out their $38-40 Margarita Kits that have their Classic Margarita, Watermelon-Serrano, and Prickly Pear. Our favorite is the $32 Ranch Water Kit that comes with a 375ml bottle of Tequila, four Topo Chicos, and limes. Or  they have a perfectly tart $9 personal frozen marg.

Cinco de Mayo en Casa Kit for $45 and will have everything you need to celebrate. Feeds six—tamales, chips and salsa, queso, papel picado banners, and party favors.

View full to-go drink and food menu here.

Order Here!

Sourced Craft Cocktails

Sourced has been a favorite for years for craft cocktails at parties and events. They have now put together their own list of to-go margs which includes a 750ml bottle of tequila (this is definitely one of the largest tequila offerings we’ve seen!), three 8 oz. bottles of margarita mixes including spicy, strawberry, and classic, a jigger, and a menu with cocktail making instructions, a tote bag, and four cups!

Order Here
