Austin is one of the most popular bachelorette destinations in the country — think tacos, live music, rooftop cocktails, and lake days. Here’s your detailed guide to planning the perfect celebration.

When You Land

Airport: Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is only about 15 minutes from downtown.

Rideshare: Uber/Lyft are plentiful, but prices surge during peak hours and big events (SXSW, ACL). The Uber/Lyft pickup is located in one of the parking garages, so be sure to follow the signs.

We recommend FETII. Fetii is a rideshare service built specifically for groups. Their clean, on-demand 15-passenger vans pick up your whole crew in one vehicle. It’s the smart, affordable way to get around town.

It’s like a party bus… but more chill, cheaper, and way easier to book. Use code 365AUSTIN for 50% off your first 3 rides!

Best Times to Visit

Spring (March–May): Perfect weather, tons of festivals.

Fall (Sept–Nov): Still warm, with big events like ACL & Formula 1.

Summer (June–Aug): Hot, but great for lake and pool parties.

Where to Stay

Downtown: Ideal if you want to walk between bars, rooftops, and restaurants. Hotels: The LINE, Fairmont, Austin Proper, JW Marriott, The Loren.

South Congress (SoCo): Boutique vibes, shopping, iconic murals. Hotels: Hotel Saint Cecilia, South Congress Hotel.

East Austin: Trendy, eclectic, cocktail bars & coffee shops. Hotels/Airbnbs: Arrive Hotel, vibey modern rentals.

Here is our detailed guide and why we’d choose certain hotels vs. others.

What to Do (Daytime Fun)

Lake Party: Rent a party barge on Lake Travis or Lake Austin. Pack swimsuits, floaties, drinks, and playlists. Lake Travis is about 45 minutes from the city (definitely recommend booking a FETTI if you rent a boat on that lake). For lake rentals we love  Pink Boat Austin or Getmyboat.

Pool Scene: Book a cabana at the Fairmont or W Hotel for poolside drinks & DJ vibes.

Hill Country Wine Tour: Dripping Springs is 40 minutes away — wineries + breweries with scenic Hill Country views.

Shopping & Photos: South Congress is filled with boutiques and murals (“I Love You So Much” & “Greetings from Austin”).

Live Music: Catch a show at Mohawk, Contiental Club or a honky-tonk night at Broken Spoke for classic Austin energy.

Here is our detailed guide on activities and our Nightlife Map.

Where To Eat

Austin’s dining scene is made for a bachelorette weekend — fun, flavorful, and full of personality. Whether you’re craving Tex-Mex, coastal bites, or modern Southern comfort, there’s something for every vibe and budget.

Lively Group-Friendly Spots: Most restaurants are used to hosting big, celebratory tables. Expect shareable plates, upbeat playlists, and patios perfect for pre-dinner drinks.

Tex-Mex & Margaritas: You can’t come to Austin without queso and margs — local staples like Matt’s El Rancho or ATX Cocina bring that festive energy.

Trendy Hotspots: For a chic dinner before a night out, try Suerte, Este, or Justine’s — all known for incredible food and stylish atmospheres.

Brunch is a Big Deal: Expect long lines and even longer mimosa lists. Favorites include Perla’s, La Piscina, and June’s All Day for daytime celebrations.

Patios & Rooftops: Austin’s warm weather means outdoor dining is a must — from Loro’s backyard BBQ vibes to Zanzibar’s rooftop cocktails downtown.

Oysters: While we know we are not on a coast, that doesn’t mean we don’t have options for great oysters. Check out our favorite spots to get them here.

💡 Tip: Make reservations early, especially for weekend dinners or large groups, and plan to linger — Austin meals often flow right into drinks and dancing.

Here is our detailed guide on places to eat.

365 Austin’s Perfect Weekend Itinerary

As someone who has been here for over 20 years and lived in the downtown area, if we were planning making the itinerary this is what it would look like:

Arrival Day – Thursday:

La Piscina

Evening: Dinner at La Piscina. Enjoy rooftop vibes, the best fajitas in Austin and margs that will go down like water.

Friday:

Morning: walk the Lady Bird Lake trail and stop at Veracruz for breakfast tacos or walk over to Two Hands on South Congress.

Day Time: Spa Day at the Fairmont, their spa is packed with amenities, you can order champagne to the spa (v important). As someone who has been to all notable spa in the Austin area, this one is it.

Late Afternoon: Head to South Congress for local shopping and a cocktail. Can’t go wrong with a drink on Perla’s patio or a bottle of wine at June’s.

Dinner: Head to the Eastside for dinner. Justine’s would be my pick. After dinner head out to local bars in the area, White Horse would be a great place to start!

Saturday:

Lake Day. I’d pick the earlier time, aim for getting out there around 11 and off by 3pm. If it’s summer you are going to be exhausted (and likely drunk) from being in the sun.

Dinner: Tómalo Grill on Rainey Street would be a good place to have dinner because plates are shareable then you can easily hit the bars on Rainey. ATX Cocina is not far from Rainey Street and also would make a good dinner spot with their shareable plates.

Sunday:

Morning: if time allows I’d head to Paperboy for breakfast before airport.

Austin’s food scene is as fun and vibrant as its nightlife, making it the perfect city for a bachelorette weekend packed with memorable meals. Whether you’re brunching with mimosas under the Texas sun, grabbing tacos between poolside cocktails, or sitting down for a lively dinner before a night out on Rainey Street, there’s no shortage of delicious options.

Make reservations when possible. Many spots get busy, especially on weekends.

Breakfast / Brunch:

Josephine House

Vibe & setting: A charming, cottage-turned-restaurant in Clarksville, with indoor cozy seating, a small marble bar, shady patio nooks, and a grassy lawn out front.

Why it works for a bachelorette group: It feels elegant and relaxed — great for those who want a “pretty brunch” without being too loud or chaotic. There’s also a private event / buyout possibility (indoor + outdoor) which could be handy for larger groups.

Menu highlights: Their lemon ricotta pancakes are a standout, and they also offer brunch classics like steak & eggs, huevos rancheros, avocado toast, pastries, and locally sourced dishes.

Watch-outs / tips: The indoor seating is fairly small (some group members have noted limited inside capacity) — on busy days the patio is essential. Reservations are recommended

Two Hands

Vibe & setting: Australian-inspired, light, airy, modern but casual. They emphasize fresh, health-minded meals, community, and locally sourced ingredients.

Why it works for a bachelorette group: It’s relaxed but elevated — a nice bridge between casual and classy. The menu has variety (from healthy bowls to indulgent brunch items), and the space supports a social, comfortable brunch.

Menu highlights: They do brunch all day, with items like smoked salmon toast, seasonal scrambles, waffles, and brunch staples. Also good drink/cocktail selection.

Watch-outs / tips: For larger groups (8+), reach out ahead (they have a policy for such groups) . This spot is on South Congress so you can easily shop around while before or after you get a table!

Paperboy

Vibe & setting: Started as a food truck, now with brick-and-mortar spots (East 11th and South Lamar). Warm, comfortable, approachable with both indoor and outdoor seating (including rooftop in some cases).

Why it works for a bachelorette group: It’s reliably good, crowd-pleasing, and energetic without being over the top. Great for mixing brunch + social time. The rooftop / outdoor areas are fun for photos, catching sun, etc.

Menu highlights: Their “Texas Hash,” chicken & biscuit, Paperboy Pancake, and housemade pastries are fan faves. They also have solid coffee and cocktails.

Watch-outs / tips: It gets busy — waits are common, especially on weekends.  Consider going early or making reservations (or using the to-go window).

Expansion note: Their South Lamar location is newer, with more indoor + patio capacity, which might be more comfortable for groups.

Veracruz Tacos

Vibe & setting: More casual, taco-centric, genuine, unpretentious. It began as a food truck and expanded. The location in the Line Hotel is a great spot to hit up after walking the Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail.

Why it works for a bachelorette group: If your group is into a fun, local, casual vibe (think brunch tacos, laid-back energy), this can be a standout. It’s less “dress up brunch” and more “vibe + flavor.”

Menu highlights: Their breakfast tacos are beloved — flexible, flavorful, perfect for brunching.

Watch-outs / tips: Not as fancy or spacious as other brunch spots, so for large groups you might need to plan logistics (seating, lines). Also, being casual, it’s less about lingering in luxury and more about enjoying the food & vibe.

Cafe No Sé

Vibe & setting: Stylish, Instagram-approved, airy with good aesthetic touches. (While I didn’t dig deep into every detail, it’s well-regarded in Austin lists of “brunch + ambiance” spots.)

Why it works for a bachelorette group: Great option when you want a fun, chic brunch experience with photo ops, good vibes, and a little stylish flair.

Menu & strengths: Expect solid brunch classics, good drink program, and a blend of brunch + café fare.

Watch-outs / tips: Because it’s a trendier spot, it can get crowded — reservations or arriving early help. Also depending on group size, some seating might be tighter.

Fat Rabbit Social House

Vibe & setting: New (opened October 1, 2025) downtown spot, whimsical interior design, lively energy, with indoor + outdoor seating and a colorful patio with string lighting.

Why it works for a bachelorette group: It brings a fun, energetic social brunch feel right in downtown. The name “Social House” is apt — it’s meant to be a gathering place with brunch + cocktails + atmosphere.

Menu highlights: They lean “brunch-forward.” Expect classics done with flair (chicken & waffles, French toast, brunch burger, fresh pastries), as well as drink options including a “mix-your-own mimosa experience” (pick juices + champagne bottle)

Watch-outs / tips: This is another great and easy spot to hit up after a morning walk around the lake.

Perla’s

Vibe & setting: Located on iconic South Congress, Perla’s has a chic coastal feel with whitewashed wood, nautical touches, and a big shady patio beneath centuries-old oak trees.

Why it works for a bachelorette group: It feels celebratory and quintessentially “Austin in style.” The patio is perfect for a festive brunch with champagne and seafood towers, and the South Congress location makes it easy to stroll and shop afterward.

Menu highlights: Fresh oysters, lobster rolls, crab cakes, ceviche, and Gulf Coast classics share the menu with brunch favorites like eggs Benedict, shrimp & grits, and lemon-blueberry pancakes. .

Watch-outs / tips: Perla’s is on the pricier side, so it’s best for a “main event” brunch or celebration meal. The patio is high-demand (and the main draw), so book well ahead and request outdoor seating.

Dinner

La Piscina

La Piscina

Vibe & setting: Located on the rooftop of the Austin Proper Hotel, La Piscina offers a stylish atmosphere with a poolside setting.

Why it works for a bachelorette group: The lively atmosphere, complete with DJs and sunset views, makes it an ideal spot for a celebratory evening. The rooftop setting adds a touch of glamour, perfect for group photos and enjoying cocktails with a view.

Menu highlights: The menu features a variety of Latin American dishes, including ceviches, fajitas, and grilled meats. Keep it simple and get the fajitas (great for sharing) and house margs!

Watch-outs / tips: The venue can get quite loud, especially on weekend nights when the DJ is playing. Outdoor seating tends to feel more relaxed and pleasant. Reservations are recommended due to the popularity of the location.

Justine’s

Photo: Alex Lau, Bon Appetite

Vibe & setting: Justine’s Brasserie offers a romantic, Parisian-inspired setting with bordello-red walls, dim lighting, and a picturesque courtyard adorned with disco balls. The ambiance is both intimate and lively, attracting a fashionable crowd.

Why it works for a bachelorette group: The unique decor and vibrant atmosphere make it a memorable spot for a night out. The late-night hours and eclectic crowd add to the fun, making it a great place to celebrate.

Menu highlights: The menu features classic French dishes such as escargots, steak tartare, and moules frites. The extensive wine list complements the rich flavors of the cuisine.

Watch-outs / tips: The venue operates late into the night, making it ideal for evening gatherings. The atmosphere can be lively, so it’s best suited for groups looking for a vibrant setting.

ATX Cocina

Vibe & setting: ATX Cocina offers a modern, upscale setting with an open kitchen and a sleek bar. The ambiance is sophisticated yet relaxed, providing a comfortable environment for dining.

Why it works for a bachelorette group: The shareable plates and innovative menu make it perfect for groups. The stylish setting adds a touch of elegance to the dining experience, suitable for a special occasion.

Menu highlights: The menu features elevated Mexican cuisine with dishes like roasted fish, duck carnitas, and housemade tortillas. The cocktail list offers creative drinks that complement the flavors.

Watch-outs / tips: Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, due to the restaurant’s popularity.

Este

Vibe & setting: Este offers a coastal Mexican dining experience with a bright, airy interior featuring vaulted ceilings and a golden backlit bar. The atmosphere is chic and upscale-casual, with a touch of elegance.

Why it works for a bachelorette group: The innovative menu and stylish setting make it a great choice for groups looking to try something unique. The spacious layout allows for comfortable seating arrangements.

Menu highlights: The menu features dishes like tuna tiradito, roasted vegetables, and seafood specialties. The drink menu includes a selection of cocktails and wines that pair well with the cuisine.

Watch-outs / tips: The restaurant can get busy, so it’s advisable to make reservations in advance. The upscale atmosphere is perfect for a celebratory evening

Suerte

Vibe & setting: Suerte offers a modern Mexican dining experience with a stylish interior featuring contemporary decor and an open kitchen. The ambiance is vibrant and trendy.

Why it works for a bachelorette group: The shareable plates and lively atmosphere make it ideal for groups. The restaurant’s popularity ensures a vibrant setting for a night out.

Menu highlights: The menu features masa-based dishes like tacos, tamales, and empanadas. The cocktail list includes mezcal-based drinks and natural wines that complement the flavors.

Watch-outs / tips: Suerte has been recognized in the Michelin Guide and other culinary awards, highlighting its quality. Reservations are recommended due to its popularity.

Tómalo Grill

Vibe & setting: Tómalo Grill offers a modern Mexican dining experience with a sleek interior featuring contemporary design elements. The atmosphere is upscale yet relaxed, providing a comfortable environment for dining.

Why it works for a bachelorette group: The shareable plates and extensive tequila selection make it perfect for groups. The private dining options allow for personalized experiences.

Menu highlights: The menu features dishes like tacos, ceviche, and grilled meats. The agave bar offers a selection of over 100 tequilas and mezcals, ideal for tastings.

Watch-outs / tips: The restaurant offers private dining options for groups, making it suitable for special occasions. Reservations are recommended, especially for the private rooms

Quince Lakeside

Vibe & setting: Perched on Lake Austin, Quince XV offers a chic, nautical-inspired ambiance with panoramic water views, a breezy rooftop bar, and a relaxed yet upscale atmosphere. It’s a stylish spot that feels both celebratory and serene.

Why it works for a bachelorette group: The lakeside setting provides a picturesque backdrop for group photos and sunset cocktails. The spacious layout allows for comfortable seating arrangements, making it ideal for a memorable evening.

Menu highlights: The menu features a variety of dishes with a coastal flair, including fresh seafood, grilled meats, and creative cocktails.

Watch-outs / tips: Reservations are recommended, especially during peak times, to secure a spot with the best views.

Loro

Vibe & setting: Loro offers a vibrant, laid-back atmosphere with communal picnic tables under twinkling lights, creating a festive environment perfect for groups. The open-air setting is complemented by a modern, industrial design, making it a popular choice for casual yet stylish gatherings.

Why it works for a bachelorette group: The spacious outdoor seating accommodates large parties comfortably. The self-ordering system at the bar allows for flexibility and efficiency, ensuring the group can focus on enjoying the evening.

Menu highlights: Loro’s menu features a fusion of Asian and Texas barbecue, offering dishes like smoked prime bavette, crispy Szechuan tofu rice bowls, and pork belly. The diverse offerings cater to various tastes, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Watch-outs / tips: While the self-ordering system is convenient, it may take some time during peak hours. It’s advisable to arrive early to secure seating, especially on weekends.

Matt’s El Rancho

Vibe & setting: A true Austin institution since 1952, Matt’s El Rancho offers a festive, family-friendly atmosphere with vibrant red umbrellas, Spanish-tile accents, and a spacious patio.

Why it works for a bachelorette group: The expansive space can accommodate large groups, and the lively ambiance ensures a fun night out.

Menu highlights: Signature dishes include the legendary Bob Armstrong Dip (a layered queso with taco meat, guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo), sizzling fajitas, enchiladas, and the famous Mexican martinis. Don’t miss the handmade tortillas and house-made salsas.

Watch-outs / tips: The restaurant can get quite busy, especially on weekends, so it’s advisable to arrive early. The lively atmosphere is great for groups looking to have fun, but it can be noisy.

Classic Bachelorette Party Fun

Boat day on Lake Travis or Lake Austin (party barge, pontoon, or yacht rental)

We recommend: Pink Boat Austin

Pink Boat Austin isn’t your typical boat rental—this charter is designed to be the ultimate girls lake day experience. Perfect for groups of up to twelve, this all-pink boat is built for swimming, surfing, celebrating, or simply cruising in style. Each charter comes with a professional, friendly captain who handles everything, so all you have to do is relax and enjoy the day. On board, you’ll find pink-striped towels, high-quality surf gear, and a cooler stocked with ice for your favorite drinks. From start to finish, Pink Boat Austin delivers a one-of-a-kind lake experience where every moment is picture-perfect.

We also love: Getmyboat

Getmyboat is the best option for finding a captained boat charter in Austin for a bachelorette celebration. Using their mobile app or website, you can discover pontoons and yachts, many of which come with a cooler full of ice and a floating mat included. Stay safe with a local Getmyboat captain to handle the driving and navigation while your party has the best time on the water.

Barton Springs Pool

Credit: photo by David Brendan Hall

A must for any Austin bachelorette weekend, Barton Springs Pool is the city’s natural gem — a spring-fed oasis that stays a crisp 68°F all year. It’s the perfect place to recover after a night out or kick off the day with a refreshing dip. Out-of-towners will love the local vibe, the scenic Zilker Park setting, and the chance to experience something uniquely Austin. Bring your swimsuits, sunglasses, and a picnic — it’s the ultimate chill spot between all the celebrations.

Rainey Street Bar Crawl

Rainey Street is a bachelorette favorite — lively, walkable, and packed with charm. The bars and patios create a fun, laid-back party vibe perfect for group hopping. You’ll find everything from frozen drinks and live music to late-night tacos, all within a few blocks. It’s the ideal spot for out-of-towners to experience Austin’s nightlife energy in one easy, festive stretch.

6th Street Night Out

6th Street, the city’s most famous party strip. Packed with live music, lively bars, and dance spots, it’s where the night truly comes alive. Whether your crew wants to sing along at a piano bar, hit a rooftop, or just soak up the chaotic fun, 6th Street delivers that classic Austin nightlife energy — unforgettable and a little wild in the best way. Beware, the locals call it “dirty sixth” and there’s a reason for that.

Private Karaoke Room

For a bachelorette night that’s all about your group, private karaoke rooms are a must. Sing your hearts out, pop some bubbly, and laugh through your favorite throwbacks without an audience. It’s the perfect mix of fun and low-pressure — ideal for bonding before hitting the town. A great spot the checkout would be The Highball.

Food + Drink Experiences

Bachelorette brunch at spots like Aba, Josephine House, or Two Hands

Taco or BBQ tour (La Barbecue, Terry Black’s, Veracruz All Natural)

Winery tour

Uplift Vineyard. Photo by David Capote

A Hill Country winery tour is a perfect bachelorette getaway — scenic views, great wine, and zero stress. Just outside Austin, you can sip your way through beautiful vineyards with private transportation and plenty of photo ops. It’s a fun, relaxed way to celebrate with your crew.

Distillery or brewery hopping

For a laid-back but lively day, go distillery and brewery hopping around the Hill Country. Sip craft cocktails, local beers, and spirits while exploring the city’s best tasting rooms. Many spots have outdoor patios, food trucks, and live music — perfect for a fun, social bachelorette outing that feels authentically Austin. We like Deep Eddy Distillery, Treaty Oak, and Hold Out Brewing. Hold Out Brewing is located downtown so it’s a different vibe then heading out to the Hill County but great if you’re looking to drink beers in town.

Private chef dinner or in-home catered meal

Depending on your Airbnb, a private chef or at home dinner is a great option! As someone who has been on countless Bachelorette trips, this actually usually is one of the best nights of the trip. One of our favorite’s in town is Charred Hospitality.

Chill, Spa & Self-Care Moments

Spa day

Relax, unwind, and pamper yourselves with massages, facials, and luxury treatments. We have some pretty great spas, if you want a true immersive experience outside the city check out Lake Austin Spa or Miraval. For one in the city, we like Fairmont’s Spa.

Private at home beauty bar session

Think mini facials right at your Airbnb. We have used the BeatiBus and Lisa is an absolute dream!

 Creative + Unique Group Activities

Wig Party

Coco Coquette is one of Austin’s most beloved spots for playful makeovers and bachelorette fun. This whimsical boutique and wig shop offers glittery makeovers, custom wigs, and photo-ready glam sessions that let everyone tap into their alter ego.

Outdoor & Adventure Activities

Paddleboard or kayak

Explore Austin from the water with paddleboarding, kayaking, or canoeing on Lady Bird Lake. It’s a relaxing way to take in the city skyline, enjoy the outdoors, and share a fun adventure with friends. Perfect for bachelorette groups looking for a mix of activity, scenic views, and photo-worthy moments.

Walk The Trail + Boardwalk

The Lady Bird Lake Boardwalk is a scenic, elevated trail that winds along Austin’s iconic downtown waterfront. Perfect for walking, jogging, or casual strolls, it offers stunning views of the skyline, the lake, and the city’s natural beauty. With easy access to parks, public art, and photo-worthy spots, it’s a relaxing and picturesque way to experience the heart of Austin.

Day trip to Hamilton Pool Preserve or Krause Springs

Escape the city for a day trip to Hamilton Pool Preserve or Krause Springs, two of Texas’ most beautiful natural spots. Swim in crystal-clear springs, explore lush surroundings, and enjoy a peaceful day in nature. Perfect for a group outing or a relaxing break from the Austin bustle.

Hiking + picnic at Mount Bonnell or the Greenbelt

Take in breathtaking views and fresh air with a hike at Mount Bonnell or the Greenbelt. Both spots offer scenic trails and perfect picnic spots, making them ideal for a relaxing daytime outing with friends. It’s a great way to combine light adventure, stunning vistas, and quality time together.

Evening & Nightlife Ideas

Sunset rooftop drinks

Raise a glass above the city at some of Austin’s best rooftop bars. P6 offers stunning views of Lady Bird Lake and a chic, sunset-perfect atmosphere, while Nido delivers elevated cocktails and modern elegance high above the Loren Hotel. For tropical vibes, head to Zanzibar, where lush greenery and skyline views make every drink feel like vacation. El Alma charms with margaritas and casual Mexican fare on a cozy hillside patio, and La Piscina combines poolside luxury with craft cocktails and Tex-Mex favorites. Editors note: La Piscina is our favorite, the fajitas are best you’ll find in town.

Live music night

Austin’s live music scene is a must-see for any bachelorette group. Catch iconic acts at The Continental Club, a legendary spot for rock, blues, and country vibes, or enjoy lively performances at C-Boy’s Heart & Soul. Both of these posts are located on South Congress so a perfect spot to hit up if you have dinner in that area.

Austin has a vibrant jazz scene, perfect for a laid-back night out or a classy bachelorette evening. The Elephant Room is a cozy basement bar known for intimate jazz performances. Others to check out are Parker Jazz Club or Nica on 4th.

Live show or comedy

Catch a live show or comedy performance at one of Austin’s iconic venues. From hilarious sketches to legendary music acts, it’s a guaranteed way to add laughs and entertainment to your night. Check out Esther’s Follies (for SNL style comedy) , Antone’s, or The Paramount.

⚽ A Clash of Stars: MLS vs. LIGA MX

MLS’s 26-man roster features a mix of fan favorites, rising stars, and global legends. Players were selected via fan vote (12), coach’s picks by Nico Estévez (12), and two picks by MLS Commissioner Don Garber.

Among the biggest names:

  • Lionel Messi (Inter Miami CF), voted in by fans and making his MLS All-Star debut.

  • Brad Stuver and Brandon Vazquez of Austin FC, proudly representing the hometown club.

  • Chucky Lozano (San Diego FC), selected by the Commissioner in a surprise All-Star nod.

  • Denis Bouanga, Evander, and Diego Luna bring attacking firepower to the front line.

  • Jordi Alba and Miles Robinson anchor a strong defensive unit.

Facing off against them, LIGA MX’s 28-man roster is equally star-studded. Led by head coach Andre Jardine (Club América), the squad includes:

  • Sergio Ramos (CF Monterrey) and James Rodríguez (Club León), former Real Madrid teammates now turning heads in Mexico.

  • Henry Martín (Club América), a Balón de Oro nominee and proven goal threat.

  • Five players each from Toluca and Cruz Azul, fresh off championship seasons.

  • And 16-year-old Gilberto Mora (Club Tijuana), the youngest player on the field and already making waves.

After dominating MLS last year with a 4–1 win, LIGA MX will be looking for a repeat. But with this year’s match happening in Austin, MLS has the home-field advantage—and a sold-out crowd could tip the scales.

Once an exclusive pop-up sensation, La Wagyeria has officially planted roots in the heart of Austin—and it’s here to stay. This one-of-a-kind Wagyu-centric restaurant has transitioned into a permanent location, bringing with it an unforgettable culinary experience that’s redefining what it means to dine on premium beef.

A New Chapter for an Old-School Craft

La Wagyeria is far more than just a steakhouse. It’s a full-circle expression of dedication—from pasture to plate. Born on a picturesque ranch in Okeechobee, Florida, their full-blooded American Wagyu cattle are raised on open grassland, nurtured with care, and treated with respect every step of the way. The result? Beef that’s sustainable, deeply flavorful, and loaded with health benefits like heart-healthy fats and CLA.

An Interactive Butcher Experience

What sets La Wagyeria apart isn’t just the beef—it’s the experience. Guests don’t simply choose from a printed menu. Instead, they’re guided by the in-house butcher who helps select the perfect cut from a curated selection of Wagyu, including New York Strip, Ribeye, Picanha, Filet Mignon, and even Tomahawk. All cuts come paired with roasted potatoes and an organic green salad.

Spanish-Inspired Starters & Sweet Finales

While the Wagyu is undoubtedly the star, the supporting cast is just as tempting. Diners can indulge in flavorful starters like Serrano Ham Croquetas and finish the night with their famed “The Pot” dessert—an experience of textures and tastes that’s as memorable as the meal itself.

From Ranch to Table—and Now, to You

La Wagyeria was born from a dream, a few too many beers, and a shared love for heritage ranching by three friends with roots in Spain, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. Today, that dream has become one of Austin’s most unique dining destinations, delivering not only mouthwatering beef but a return to meaningful, responsible food sourcing.

Whether you’re planning a dinner with friends, a special date night, or just want to experience Wagyu done the right way—La Wagyeria is ready to welcome you home.

Book Your Table Now

Walk-ins welcome, but reservations are encouraged.

No pre-selection necessary— your Wagyu journey begins with a conversation at the butcher’s block.

La Wagyeria – An Unforgettable Wagyu Experience, Now in Austin.
Because great beef starts on the land—and ends in great company.

Location: 440D E St Elmo Rd Building D, Austin, TX 78745

Open Thursday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Austin is a beautiful place for weddings—we’ve got the Hill Country features, great food, and lots of interesting things to do for out-of-town guests. But wedding planning can also be very stressful. There are so many options here, and it can be hard to narrow it down to what you want and what fits your budget. I should know—I’m currently planning my own wedding for next spring.

Here’s just a selection of some of Austin’s offerings to create the wedding of you and your spouse-to-be’s dreams.

Jewelers

Because you have to start with the ring…

Bell & Bird

Bell & Bird specializes in vintage, one-of-a-kind jewelry from the 18th and 19th centuries, but they also have an in-house design studio where you can shop their vintage-inspired rings and jewelry, from engagement rings to wedding bands to wedding day gifts.

Eliza Page

Full disclosure: This is where my fiance got my engagement ring, and I could not be more in love with it. He had a family stone he wanted to use, and they helped him create a design he knew I would love. Eliza Page also offers full custom services or ready-made engagement rings and wedding bands.

Five Star Jewelry

Five Star Jewelry has been in Austin for more than 26 years, offering custom services and ready-made engagement rings and wedding bands. They also have several options with unique stones should you want something other than a diamond.

Korman Fine Jewelry

This local jeweler has been a go-to in Austin since 1973. The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable and can show you a curated assortment of engagement rings and what their website says is the best selection of large stones in Central Texas. They have a global network of diamond suppliers and a great Austin story.

Venues

Springdale Station

Once a train station, Springdale Station is a unique venue that is a beautiful setting for an urban wedding. There is a ton of indoor and outdoor space—so it’s great for planning for unpredictable weather, and there is ample parking, too. The modern fixtures of the historic space make it a super versatile backdrop.

The Grand Lady

This historic mansion venue was originally built in 1881 as a wedding gift to William Wallace Walton and his wife from her father. Now, The Grand Lady welcomes other couples to start their lives together with space to get ready, multiple options for the ceremony and reception, and the ability to host large or small weddings.

The Retreat at Balcones Springs

This truly is a retreat 45 minutes north of Austin, featuring nine venue options, on-site accommodations, and activities for you and your guests, such as hiking, swimming in the lake, and more, should your wedding be a weekend-long getaway spent reliving your summer camp days. On-site accommodations include cozy cabins, adorable bungalows, and a “honeymoon suite” for the newlyweds.

800 Congress

Right in the heart of downtown Austin, 800 Congress is a raw space that you can customize to fit your vision for the day. The outdoor terrace is perfect for cocktail hour, and the industrial but polished space is great for couples who want a more urban wedding. Plus, it has views of the Capitol and the Paramount Theatre and is close to several downtown hotels.

Chapel Dulcinea

Is an intimate wedding more your style? Chapel Dulcinea has made a name for itself for its gorgeous microweddings and elopements. The chapel can host 12 guests seated or up to 35 standing. Plus, it’s free to get married there Monday–Thursday during certain windows, or at low cost during evenings and weekends.

Food and Drink

Contigo Catering

Contigo Catering has been around since 2014, when it was initially part of a partnership with the Contigo family ranch in Fredericksburg and Contigo restaurant. Now they are a separate business and a great way to give your guests a real taste of Austin. They offer everything from fried chicken with caviar to raw bars and fire tables! They can also coordinate food trucks for your wedding to complement their spread.

MML Hospitality

MML is the famous hospitality group behind some of Austin’s most beloved restaurants—Jeffrey’s, Perla’s, Swedish Hill, Pool Burger, and June’s, just to name a few. And naturally, they have a catering operation that delivers the same high caliber of service and food. Their full-service catering brings the details people love from each of their locations to events of any size all over Texas.

Word of Mouth

Word of Mouth, acquired by MML in 2023, has been a culinary fixture in Austin for over 30 years. They have an array of services, including buffet dinners, seated dinners, and everything in between. After meeting with one of their event planners, they help determine the best options for your event, factoring in the venue, menu, rental choices, and duration. They are a tried and true choice for larger events.

Beauty

Oasis Face Bar

For the bride and groom, Oasis Face Bar offers a tailored package that includes luxurious touches like champagne for the bride, creating a relaxing, indulgent experience. Bridal parties can also celebrate with a unique twist on traditional bachelorette parties, enjoying facials together while sipping champagne and bonding before the big day. With a variety of custom treatments and packages designed for weddings, Oasis Face Bar helps you achieve glowing, flawless skin and a memorable experience for you and your loved ones.

Rentals and Decor

Loot Rentals

Loot Rentals is an event rental company that is every design-loving couple’s dream. They bring a specially curated collection of furniture and décor that blends vintage and new in a modern way. From lounges and bars to dining tables and chairs, let Loot form the backdrop to your most treasured memory.

Bee Lavish

Does your ceremony or reception space need an extra something? Bee Lavish has several arch options available, as well as backdrops, seating such as couches, rugs, tables, and more for rent to give your wedding a style that’s your own.

Bridal Boutiques

Blue Bridal Boutique

Blue Bridal in South Austin started after a bride saw a need for a boutique where every bride could find a dress in her price range. Now, they offer made-to-order gowns ranging from $1,500 to $7,000. Brides can make an appointment and bring up to five guests.

Unbridaled

Featuring designers from across the world, Unbridaled looks for unique dresses across a variety of styles. Since opening their Austin location in 2005, they’ve expanded into Houston and New Orleans with dresses starting at $1,000 and going up to $10,000. Brides can bring up to three guests to their appointment.

a&bé bridal shop

The Austin location of a&bé wants wedding dress shopping to be fun, creating a space where brides can relax and celebrate. Brides can also see what the shop has in stock on the shop’s Pinterest page, with price ranges for each designer. Appointments require a $25 hold, and brides can bring up to four guests. Gowns range from $1,200 to $3,000+.

Blush Bridal

Blush Bridal Lounge has a great shop on North Lamar with a wide selection of bridal gowns and accessories by the biggest designers and local and indie artisans. Appointments are required and run 1.5 hours long. You can have a total of five guests, including the bride—so choose your party wisely.

Photographers and Videographers

That’s Amoré Films

That’s Amoré Films can give your wedding a cinematic touch. Owner Anthony DiFonzo has been producing wedding films for more than nine years, creating films and highlight reels that are unique and elegant. Having a destination wedding? That’s Amoré Films will film elopements and weddings worldwide.

Nikk Nguyen Photo

Nikk Nguyen and the photographers at Southern Love Studio deliver timeless, photojournalistic-style photography for your big day. Nguyen has over 200 reviews for his wedding photography and is passionate about capturing candid moments.

Amanda Jackson Photography

Amanda strives to capture the magic and invites authenticity while documenting the essence of your special day. With comfortable vibes and lots of laughter, she specializes in moments. She captures not only posed and candid moments of your day but also the way you felt.

Aurelia Baca Photography

Aurelia Baca is a climate and weather scientist turned wedding and elopement photographer who works in Austin and Denver. Her work has been published in the New York Times, Junebug Weddings, HuffPost, Greenwedding Shoes, Brides of Austin, and more. She specializes in luxury, candid photography with a fine art touch.

Entertainment

The Nightowls

If you want to guarantee your guests have a fantastic time and stay on the dance floor, hire The Nightowls, a popular Austin band known for their dynamic covers and uplifting live performances. They’ve been performing at weddings and other events for over a decade and are total pros.

Look No Further Entertainment

This company handles everything to create the vibe of your wedding—from a DJ, audio equipment for the ceremony and toasts at the reception, dance lighting, and concert grade equipment to even a photo booth.

Quick Draw Photo Booth

It’s hard to describe the experience that Quick Draw Photo Booth adds to a wedding but, trust us, it’s hilariously entertaining, and your guests will love you for it. They’ll jump into a tent and pose for photos and drawings while also singing karaoke, while a guy with a headset microphone does stand-up comedy—all at the same time. The drawings and photos are great favors, too.

Special Touches

EloteAmo

Looking for a unique, interactive food experience at your wedding? EloteAmo brings a made-to-order elote bar to your big day, perfect for a cocktail hour or a late-night snack. Their eloteros serve up cups of fresh Mexican street corn, with each guest choosing their perfect combination of toppings and sauces from a selection curated by the bride and groom (and yes, Hot Cheetos are an option!). Whether guests keep it classic with cotija and lime or go all in with bold flavors, every cup is built just the way they like it. Great weddings have great food, and EloteAmo is here to make sure yours is no exception!

Vinyl Record Guest Book From After The Tone

Let your guests leave you a “voicemail” on a vintage-style phone that After the Tone then turns into a vinyl record. Couples get to pick their style of phone, which is then shipped directly to you before the wedding. Just ship it back afterward, and you’ll have a personal vinyl of all your voicemails in just a few weeks.

Champagne Trailer From Silvercloud Trailer Events

Silvercloud’s 12-foot trailer serves perfectly chilled champagne, rosé, and other wine varietals from four beverage taps on the side. Plus, it’s a great photo opportunity for guests.
