Loro Asian Smokehouse & Bar to host first annual Oltorf Block Party
Loro is celebrating the launch of its new collaboration hat with Mañana Austin’s go-to for surf gear and apparel by hosting its first Oltorf Block Party a community-driven and market-style event on Wednesday November 5th from 6-8 p.m. In true Austin fashion the event will bring together some of the city’s favorite local brands for a night of good food great vibes and giveaways! Hosted at Loro’s South Lamar location in the Beer Garden the party will feature local vendors one-night-only menu collaborations exclusive giveaways and live music.

About Loro

Founded in 2018 by James Beard award-winning culinary powerhouses Chef Tyson Cole and Pitmaster Aaron Franklin Loro merges Asian flavors with Texas barbecue to create a selection of dishes you won’t find anywhere else. Loro serves grilled and smoked meats with Southeast Asian and Japanese-inspired sauces and sides; the bar features craft beer boozy slushees and batch cocktails. The vibe is casual and communal with an architectural design reminiscent of Texas dance halls. Guests can order food at the bar sit in the expansive indoor space or dine outside on the shaded pet-friendly porch. Loro currently has six locations the original in Austin; two in D/FW in East Dallas and Addison and one in the Houston Heights neighborhood with two locations soon to launch in Austin and Houston.
