Runners, volunteers, and supporters of every age will convene from Central Texas and beyond to the First Street Bridge in Downtown Austin on Sunday, November 9th for the 19th Annual Gazelle Foundation’s Run For The Water road race. Participants will embrace Co-Founder Gilbert Tuhabonye’s mantra to “Run with joy” along Lady Bird Lake to bring hope to an area of the world where people walk miles to fetch water. Each race entry raises essential funds to build clean water systems in Burundi, East Africa. The water systems reduce the average walk to water from 4 miles to 400 meters. The race concludes with a Finish Line Festival atop the First Street Bridge with world-famous Burundian drummers, awards, kid’s activities, food trucks, sponsor booths, and more. Register and volunteer for the race online at RunfortheWater.com.
